ABOUT US

Common Interests, Inc. was founded in 1993 in San Clemente, California and was purchased by Jim Shubsda in 1996 from the original founders.  The company originally specialized in guard gated homeowners association communities but has grown by applying that expertise and specialized set of management skills  towards managing all types of communities. From its small company roots in 1996, Common Interests, Inc. has grown by providing professional, personal and caring management along with providing common sense solutions to sometimes complex problems.

JIM SHUBSDA, CCAM  President

Jim Shubsda obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California and a Master's Degree from California State University at Long Beach.   After getting experience in a variety of business fields, Jim entered property management in 1989 in Arcadia, California where he managed residential properties, commercial, industrial and retail properties and condominium associations.  He achieved the designation of  Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) in 1995.
